Nested Pricing For the Simplex Algorithm: An Empirical Evaluation
Ping-Qi Pan (panpq Abstract: Nested pricing involves new rules for selecting columns to enter the basis in the simplex algorithm. We report extensive computational experiments, demonstrating their exceptional merit against major rules, including Dantzig's original rule, as well as the steepest-edge and Devex rules. Keywords: simplex algorithm, Dantzig's rule, steepest-edge rule, Devex rule, partial pricing, nested Category 1: Linear, Cone and Semidefinite Programming (Linear Programming ) Citation: Southeast University, Nanjing, 210096, China, Oct./2007 Download: [PDF] Entry Submitted: 03/01/2007 Modify/Update this entry | ||
